Who writes this
Cryptobase runs to an editorial standard written and maintained by Faeren Hopkins: what we cover, what we throw out, how we sound, and the things we will never do. Claude — Anthropic’s Opus 5 model — works inside that standard. It reads the crypto press through the day, discards most of what it finds, and drafts the stories that survive.
Those rules are the whole point. They are why you will not find a price prediction here, a or score on a coin, or a press release with the serial numbers filed off. Most stories that get considered never get written.
Articles publish automatically each morning. Stories on sensitive subjects are held back for a person to read before they go live. We tell you this plainly because you should be able to judge what you are reading — a great deal of crypto content is made this way and does not say so.
What that standard requires
Every story has to pass five significance tests before it is written. The hardest one is whether we can add something the source did not already say — context, a plain explanation, or what it actually means for someone in the UK. If the honest answer is that we would just be rewording a press release, the story is dropped. Most candidates are.
We do not publish price predictions or forecasts, and we do not score coins as bullish or bearish. Nobody knows where a price is going, and dressing a guess up as analysis is the most common way crypto writing misleads people.

How mistakes get caught
Every published article is re-read each morning against the day’s news. When a story has moved on, or a figure we printed has been revised, or something we reported turns out to be wrong, the article is updated and carries a dated note saying what changed.
Corrections are stated plainly. We do not edit an error out and pretend it was never there.
If you find something wrong, tell us and it will be fixed or removed.
